The Challenge
Medbridge wanted to develop eLearning modules for their OSHA – Emergency Action Plan, OSHA – Infection Control, Hazard Communication and Hand Hygiene. Along with the storyboards, they provided us with the voiceovers as well. They wanted modules which were engaging, interactive and not boring. Their requirements included usage of latest industry tools and technologies to develop responsive modules. Central idea was to keep the learners as much interested as possible for better learning outcomes. The modules were targeted for healthcare professionals.
Desired Outcomes
The desired outcomes are:
- To educate the participants about how to effectively prepare for an emergency
- To educate the participants to minimize the risk of own their own safety
- To educate the participants about protection of their patients
- To educate the participants about infection control measures
- To educate the participants regarding types of pathogens and modes of their transmission
- To educate the participants about the standard precautions to be taken for infection control measures
The Solution
Zillion eLearning kept those storyboards in mind to develop engaging and interactive eLearning solution for them. We added gamified quizzes in the modules to keep the learners challenged and involved. Each module consisted of 3 chapters along with quizzes at the end. Medbridge required a custom interface with self-explanatory instructions for the learners to navigate. They gave specific instructions about the illustrations and wanted diverse characters including different ethnicities.
Our creative development department used the latest industry developing tools to produce the modules and created custom characters along with the illustrations as per their requirements. A very simple, unique and user-friendly interface was developed with instructions to guide them through. The background and interface color scheme was created keeping in mind Medbridge’s branding. The images used were optimized without conceding their quality.
The quiz-games were induced to challenge the learners. Multiple choices questions along with True/False statements were used in the quiz-games as per the requirements of Medbridge. The learners could not navigate ahead of the module without completing the existing slide. The modules were responsive as well as SCORM-compliant. A self-explanatory menu was designed for the learners.
The Results
Medbridge saw an increase in the employee involvement and engagement after they launched these modules. Not only employees engaged more but they gave a very overwhelming response. Gamified quizzes and instant results increased the learners’ commitment. Medbridge is very satisfied with the services provided by Zillion eLearning. The voiceover also kept the learners active instead of getting bored. Medbridge achieved the desired outcomes by these modules and have made us their desired eLearning partner.
